PCAPPA Awards
Help us recognize the outstanding achievements from your facilities peers! Each year PCAPPA recognizes those who go above and beyond to enrich the lives of others and contribute in a significant way to the PCAPPA community. Winners will be recognized on stage at the PCAPPA Annual Conference and on the PCAPPA website.
PCAPPA is pleased to solicit nominations for the following awards:
PCAPPA Pacesetter Award
The Pacesetter in the workplace is an individual who sets the standard or pace for performance, productivity, and behavior within a team or organization. This individual leads by example, demonstrating exceptional work ethic, professionalism, and a commitment to excellence. Pacesetters often inspire and motivate their colleagues to strive for higher levels of achievement and contribute to a positive and high-performing work culture.
Eligibility: To be eligible for the PCAPPA Pacesetter Award, nominees must meet the following criteria:
- Active in a PCAPPA member institution for a minimum of three consecutive years (please indicate the year your institution became a PCAPPA member)
- Active participation and contributions in leadership, membership, educational, research, volunteer and community contributions initiatives at PCAPPA regional level, and/or in member institution facilities organizations
PCAPPA Unsung Hero Award
This award is bestowed upon individuals who demonstrate extraordinary dedication, selflessness, and impact their institutional communities without seeking recognition or praise. Recipients exemplify the true spirit of service, going above and beyond their responsibilities to make a meaningful difference. Whether through acts of kindness, volunteerism, mentorship, advocacy, or innovation, these individuals quietly and humbly make a positive impact, inspiring others through their actions.
Eligibility: To be eligible for the PCAPPA Unsung Hero Award, nominees must meet the following criteria:
- Active in a PCAPPA member institution for a minimum of three consecutive years (please indicate the year your institution became a PCAPPA member)
- Documented acts of kindness, volunteerism, mentorship, advocacy, or innovation
Excellence in Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) Award
This award recognizes the exceptional efforts of an individual or a team that demonstrates a commitment to promote and enhance diversity, equity and inclusion efforts.
Excellence in Diversity, Equity and Inclusion represents a commitment to fostering an environment where every individual is valued, respected, and empowered regardless of their background, identity, or experiences. This initiative prioritizes creating a culture that celebrates diversity in all its forms, including race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, age, disability, religion, socio-economic status, and more.
Eligibility: To be eligible for the Excellence in Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Award, nominees must meet the following criteria:
- Active in a PCAPPA member institution for a minimum of three consecutive years (please indicate the year your institution became a PCAPPA member)
- Active participation and contributions in ongoing Diversity, Equity and Inclusion programs and/or initiatives at PCAPPA regional level and/or in member institution facilities organizations
- Past PCAPPA DEI award recipients cannot be nominated again
Anthony (Tony) Guerrero Distinguished Leadership Award
This award is a prestigious accolade presented to an individual who exemplifies unwavering dedication, outstanding service, exceptional commitment, and mentorship. They demonstrate unparalleled commitment to their roles, going above and beyond expectations to achieve excellence and make a positive impact. Through their selfless service and tireless dedication, they consistently contribute to the betterment of PCAPPA, its communities or causes, all while inspiring others with their passion.
Eligibility: To be eligible for the PCAPPA Distinguished Leadership Award, nominees must meet the following criteria:
- Active in a PCAPPA member institution for a minimum of five consecutive years (please indicate the year your institution became a PCAPPA member)
- Active participation and contributions in leadership, membership, educational, research, volunteer and community contributions initiatives at the PCAPPA regional level and/or in member institution facilities organizations.
